I have both the older HM-ES-PMSw1-Pl and the newer HmIP-PSM-2.
I noticed that my HmIP-PSM-2 always reports load of around 3.5 watt, even if nothing is connected. That seems to be wrong.
The old ones were fairly accurate, and I could use them to monitor very low wattages, below 1 watt actually (at least as reported, doesn't mean they're really that good, but they could detect if a washing machine was off vs. standby).
The HmIP-PSM-2 also doesn't seem to measure anything below 5 watts or so. It just reports it as 3.5 watt, until some bigger loads come up.
Do I have a broken unit, or is the newer HmIP-PSM-2 just worse at metering low loads?
How accurate is the metering of (Power Actuator) HmIP-PSM-2 ?

Hi,
Roland
Show us the settiungs of this device, maybe the threshold for reporting a new value isn't correct.

Zur leichteren Hilfestellung bitte unbedingt beachten:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. CCU2 mit ~100 Geräten (in Umstellung auf RaspberryMatic-OVA auf Proxmox-Server)
2. CCU2 per VPN mit ~50 Geräten (geplant: RaspberryMatic auf Charly)
3. CCU2 per VPN mit ~40 Geräten (geplant: RaspberryMatic auf CCU3)
CCU1, Test-CCU2, Raspi 1 mit kleinem Funkmodul, RaspberryMatic als VM unter Proxmox, Access Point,...
- Bezeichnung (HM-... bzw.

Re: How accurate is the metering of (Power Actuator) HmIP-PSM-2 ?
Ah, that could be true reason. I will look into it.
Probably unrelated, but I also noticed that the newer HM (IP?) devices have a default option 'skip messages' set to 'on' (1 actually) which confuses the diagram functionality in my old CCU2. Setting it to 0 instead of 1 also fixed some issues. I saw the same thing with a humidity sensor. I'm a little reluctant to update my CCU2 right now, it's too cold outside at the moment
